Maddy's first trip up north was last weekend. Rob's family has been going to Fred Thomas Resort in Birchwood, Wisconsin for decades.
We couldn't have asked for a better baby on the trip. She barely cried during the five-hour car ride, slept longer at night and was in a good mood while we were there; the crisp, fall air must be calming to her.
She got to spend a lot of time with her aunts, uncles, cousins and Grandpa Bob. If I had remembered to bring my camera battery charger, there would be more photos of this!
We took her on a nature walk; she slept the whole time, but could have seen some beautiful autumn landscapes if she had been awake.

The Monday after we got back home, we went to visit (Great) Grandma Mick, who hadn't seen our little one for eight weeks. It's amazing how much Maddy has grown since we first brought her home from the hospital!
